Allen is passionate about leading cutting-edge R&D projects in both academia and industry. He is an expert in the areas of high-dimensional pattern recognition, computer vision, image processing, and sensor networks, and has published more than 50 technical papers and 12 US patents/applications. Allen received his PhD in ECE from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
