Jean-Yves Douillard received his medical training at the University of Nantes Medical School and completed his PhD in 1993. He was the recipient of a fellowship from the French Ministry of Health and the US National Institutes of Health John E. Fogarty International Center for Advanced Study in the Health Sciences.
