Mr. Lojk is a seasoned executive and Professional Engineer, with national and international senior level experience in regulation, business management and stakeholder relations. He has recently been appointed as the Director of Uranium Mines and Mills for the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) and previously was responsible for leading licensing and oversight activities of other Canadian nuclear facilities, particularly nuclear power plants. In his other roles with the CNSC, Mr. Lojk was responsible for managing technical divisions in such areas as structural integrity, environmental qualification, fire protection and systems engineering. Over the years he has contributed to a number of regulatory documents as well as to Canadian and International standards. Most recently, he represented Canada in the OECD/NEA Senior Task Groups responsible for preparing the publications on regulatory effectiveness and on regulatory safety culture. Prior to joining the CNSC, Mr. Lojk had senior roles in engineering and construction in the private and institutional sectors.
