Jian-Chuan Xia is a Professor of immunotherapy, the director of Cell Therapy and Healthcare Research Center and the deputy director of the Department of Biotherapy in Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center. He was trained as a post-doctor at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Harvard Medical School from 2000 to 2003.
Dr. Xia focuses on cancer epigenetics and cancer immunotherapy research. His group investigated the roles of several tumor suppressor genes in primary hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) or gastric cancer (GC). Meanwhile, several immuno-effector cells such as cytokine induced killer cells (CIK), natural killer cells (NK), dendritic cells (DC) and DC-CIK for treatment of cancer patients were also investigated.
