Ian is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers with broad, global, experience in the transportation industry.
He is the leader of Arup's global aviation business and works with colleagues around the world to deliver Arup's broad range of consulting services to aviation clients.
Ian has worked on airport, rail/transit, road, bridge, business campus and transportation projects around the world and he has played a key role in a number of major projects, including at Hong Kong Airport, New York’s JFK International Airport, Singapore, San Francisco, Second Avenue Subway in New York, Dublin Airport Terminal 2 and the rejuvenation of General Motor’s Warren Technical Campus in Detroit.
Ian's current projects include several airports around the Asia-Pacific region and include Hong Kong International Airport's Midfield Concourse Development (Project Director), HKIA 3rd Runway Infrastructure (Project Director), Mactan-Cebu International Airport, Philippines (Project Director) and MTR's South Island Line (East) Admiralty Station expansion (Team Leader).
